About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and prepare group consolidations in support of quarter- and year-end close
Support the US GAAP external and internal reporting process
Prepare the financial reporting requirements for any Debt Issuance
Ensure all controls and government processes are being followed and accurately recorded
Assist with the maintenance and ongoing development of the internal control framework
Participate in process improvement and other ad hoc projects as required
Act as a key liaison with internal and external auditors on financial reporting
Significant interaction and coordination with actuarial, investments, and tax teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in accounting or finance
Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA)
Minimum of 7 years relevant post-qualification experience within insurance
Previous experience in financial reporting required
Working knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards
If role supports Group Controllership, working knowledge of US Statutory and Bermuda Statutory (SFS) reporting standards applies
Strategic and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to work at a fast pace and/or handle shifting priorities
Detail oriented and highly organized
Proven ability to work independently
