About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the sales organization in technical matters across pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales
Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint
Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls
Answer and educate customers on features, specifications, functionality, and integration
Act as the lead technical contact for identified accounts' technical issues
Work closely with technical support and engineering to escalate and resolve customer technical issues
Help identify customers requiring post-sales training

Requirements

What you’ll need

Field sales experience
Experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer
Experience administering LAN/WAN/Internet services
Experience deploying and supporting wireless technologies and conducting site surveys
Solid understanding of wireless authentication technologies
Exceptional understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, and TCP/IP
Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and antivirus technologies
Solid understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES
Experience with encryption and authentication technologies
CCIE and CISSP certifications
Conversant with networking applications and solutions
