About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist client staff with day-to-day Fortinet product operation and support
  • Develop methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades, and updates
  • Develop test plans and test new features and/or releases
  • Verify configurations and implement best practices
  • Perform interoperability evaluations of devices interacting with Fortinet products
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff
  • Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet’s product line and technologies
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Work with the end user to define specific daily activities throughout the agreement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ Years experience in LAN/WAN /Internet consulting, support and/or administration
  • 5+ Years experience with Network Security Products
  • 2+ Years experience with Fortinet products
  • Experience working as a Professional Services Consultant/ Engineer a plus
  • Solid understanding of security and networking principles and technologies
  • Knowledge of network security infrastructure, including Switching, Routing, Load Balancing, and WiFi
  • Knowledge of security systems, including Firewall, IPS, VPN, Antivirus, AntiSpam, Web Filtering, and Application Control
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Flexibility during times of change
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
  • Strong commitment and self-driven approach
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related work-related experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
