About the role
- Generate, standardize, update, and manage a library of technical data packages for every Forterra part across platforms
- Produce vector line art, product data sheets, provisioning and logistics data, sustainment bills of material, manufacturing and inspection procedures, depot-level repair procedures, and illustrated parts breakdowns
- Create technical data for configuration-managed parts including part specification, provisioning/shipping data, safety data sheets, HAZDECS, weights & dimensions, PHS&T data
- Create illustrations, diagrams and other visual media supporting each part and MIL-STD-40051 technical manuals
- Compile a company-searchable library on SharePoint and create exportable digital data files for each configuration-managed part
- Matrix into and support the Technical Publications team to create source data for Remove and Replace procedures, Fault Isolation procedures, and other technical manual source data
- Report to the Director of Sustainment Operations and support multiple internal functions with shifting priorities to meet urgent mission support or tight deadlines
Requirements
- Ability to hold a DoD Secret clearance
- Respectful team player and an effective communicator
- Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Illustrator
- Experience with a parts & configuration management data system (Arena, Windchill)
- 4+ years of relevant experience (commercial industry, Government or military)
- Preferred: Experience with DoD program office technical manual processes, DoD field-level maintenance, and/or OEMs or depot-level sustainment programs
- Preferred: Ninja skills with Illustrator or other vector line art programs
- Preferred: Experience implementing and adjusting XML files, structures, style guides
- Preferred: Familiarity with ERP logistics systems (NetSuite, Sales Force FS), and MS Office
- Preferred: Familiarity with XML generation editing
