About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership to plan, implement, and analyze technology solutions supporting quality student services
  • Define requirements, investigate technology solutions, and lead or participate in system implementations
  • Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot problems and develop efficient business processes
  • Design and produce reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform data analysis and support data-informed decision-making
  • Manage state and federal reporting functions for the Registrar's Office
  • Develop systems to manage academic records and student information
  • Supervise, train, coach, and develop Registrar's Office staff
  • Lead systems analysis and process improvements
  • Support day-to-day systems operations, resolve data discrepancies, and provide access to core systems
  • Integrate new systems and processes with existing systems
  • Coordinate releases, testing, lifecycle maintenance, rollouts, and software upgrades
  • Manage project scope, risks, and contingency planning
  • Recommend available and emerging technology platforms
  • Represent the Registrar's Office in cross-campus initiatives
  • Coordinate multifunctional projects with AIS-Tech and Skyhawk Station teams
  • Manage academic-record imaging workflows
  • Produce regulatory, ad hoc, project-status, and service-delivery reports
  • Create data-validation processes and review data for completeness and accuracy
  • Use database query and visualization tools
  • Document system requirements, data definitions, procedures, and workflows
  • Develop guides, resources, training materials, and software manuals
  • Hire, onboard, train, evaluate, and manage staff workload and responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, university policies, best practices, and industry standards
  • Stay informed of industry trends and explore new service-delivery platforms
  • Maintain Registrar's Office operations and customer service
  • Maintain confidentiality under FERPA and applicable policies and laws
  • Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials
  • Serve as acting Registrar during the Registrar's absence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, student information systems, enrollment services, or a closely related field
  • Two or more years of supervisory or demonstrated team-leadership experience
  • Experience leading or substantially contributing to technology or systems projects
  • Demonstrated experience supporting, configuring, implementing, or administering a student information system
  • Experience with reporting, data analysis, or database query tools
  • Experience developing, improving, and documenting business processes and procedures
  • Experience training and supervising personnel
  • Strong presentation, writing, problem-solving, and public relations skills
  • Proven track record making data-driven decisions
  • Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success
  • Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred: Four or more years of supervisory experience in a registrar, enrollment services, student services, or comparable higher-education environment
  • Preferred: Experience configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting Workday Student or another enterprise student information system
  • Preferred: Workday reporting, business processes, security, integrations, or data management experience
  • Preferred: Experience with academic requirements, degree audit, curriculum, registration, or academic records functionality
  • Ability to communicate business-specific requirements, problems, issues, and solutions to technical and non-technical users
  • Experience reporting enrollment and degree data to state and federal agencies
  • Knowledge of best practices in academic records management
  • Successful candidate must submit official transcripts and pass a background check
