About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own daily shipment execution and bookings across domestic and international modes (air, ocean, and ground), ensuring shipments are scheduled, tendered, and executed accurately and on time.
  • Serve as the primary daily interface with carriers, freight forwarders, and brokers, managing communication, resolving issues, and maintaining strong working relationships to support reliable service.
  • Maintain shipment visibility and manage exceptions end-to-end, proactively identifying risks, escalating issues, and driving resolution to protect delivery timelines.
  • Manage freight invoice review and reconciliation, validating charges against contracted rates and shipment details, resolving discrepancies, and supporting accurate accruals and cost tracking.
  • Maintain and analyze logistics data and reporting— including shipment volume, transit performance, expedite usage, and freight spend— and create dashboards to support operational decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with shipping/receiving teams, supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, and finance to align logistics execution with production schedules, priorities, and financial controls.
  • Manage customs classifications (HS/HTS), trade documentation, and import/export processing to ensure compliant and on-time global shipments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of transportation modes (air, ocean, truckload, LTL)
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, or customs brokers (Incoterms, customs processes)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Ability to work in the US and travel as necessary, up to 10%
