About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and maintain FSC’s global accounting policies, standards, and governance framework.
- Ensure consistent application of accounting principles across all entities and systems.
- Manage financial accounting activities, including complex transactions, reconciliations, and closing processes.
- Support financial reporting and preparation of financial statements.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and control issues.
- Act as main contact for external and tax audits, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
- Lead and improve end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
- Drive process standardization, harmonization, and continuous improvement across global finance.
- Support Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP implementation, including design, UAT, data migration, and rollout.
- Ensure strong internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks are in place.
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives (ERP, automation, process improvements, governance enhancements).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Certified Financial Accountant, Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK), or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Additional certifications in accounting, finance, audit, or process management are advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting.
- Strong experience in accounting governance, financial reporting, and process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience designing or improving accounting processes and controls.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience working within international or matrix organizations is highly desirable.
- Experience interacting with auditors and managing audit requirements.
