Key responsibilities & impact- Manage supplier relationships supporting the full after-sales service lifecycle for Energy Storage Systems
- Develop sourcing strategies for field service, warranty, repair, spare parts, consumables, logistics, technical support, training, digital service tools, decommissioning, recycling, and specialized equipment
- Assess supplier markets and lead RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs through evaluation and award
- Partner with After-Sales Services, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, Legal, and EHS to evaluate suppliers
- Build scalable regional and national supply solutions supporting installation, commissioning, maintenance, warranty response, upgrades, and end-of-life requirements
- Negotiate and execute Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Service Level Agreements, purchase agreements, rate cards, and related commercial documents
- Negotiate pricing, warranty obligations, service levels, response times, liability, indemnification, intellectual property, data protection, and business continuity terms
- Develop cost models and total-cost-of-ownership analyses
- Establish purchase-to-pay controls, invoice validation processes, and change-management mechanisms
- Establish and monitor supplier performance KPIs
- Lead supplier business reviews, recovery plans, cost-improvement initiatives, capacity reviews, and continuous-improvement activities
- Serve as commercial escalation point for service failures, supply interruptions, warranty disputes, billing discrepancies, and contract-performance issues
- Identify supplier and operational risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans
- Translate customer and technical needs into sourcing requirements and supplier deliverables
- Ensure suppliers meet environmental, health, safety, quality, cybersecurity, regulatory, and customer requirements
- Align sourcing milestones, supplier readiness, budgets, and contracts with product launches and customer commitments
- Maintain sourcing documentation, approvals, forecasts, savings and cost-avoidance tracking, supplier risk reporting, and executive updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical/commercial field
- 5+ years of procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing experience
- Experience preferably supporting energy storage, renewable energy, utilities, industrial services, logistics, aftermarket, or another technically complex industry
- Demonstrated ability to source after-sales categories such as technical field services, maintenance and repair, warranty support, spare parts, logistics, training, software or data services, recycling, or industrial service contracts
- Strong understanding of commercial and legal terms
- Experience negotiating technically complex agreements
- Proficiency in financial analysis, cost modeling, and total-cost-of-ownership evaluations
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate outcomes with global and regional service providers
- Experience using enterprise procurement software such as SAP, Ariba, or Coupa
- Advanced MS Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- High ethical standards and commitment to supplier diversity and sustainable sourcing practices
- Travel Requirement 20%
