About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, refine, and execute design validation methods for ADAS sensing performance at component, system, and vehicle levels
- Support development, design, and verification of use cases, functional requirements, and performance targets
- Support ADAS sensing-system upgrades through modeling changes, regression testing, test-vector support, data review, issue identification, and supplier coordination
- Develop and improve system- and subsystem-level designs, interfaces, and specifications across Ford vehicle offerings
- Ensure system design, failure mode analysis, functional safety, and related deliverables support feature integration and user experience
- Develop data-analysis techniques for sensing-system data from SIL, HIL, bench, and vehicle test environments
- Coordinate with Software Development, Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Suppliers to align V&V activities with project goals
- Identify and implement HIL and CAE methods for ADAS platform and sensor verification
- Improve V&V processes and methodologies using industry best practices and emerging technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of validation/test engineering experience in a professional or educational setting, any combination
- Experience with data collection and analysis in laboratory, HIL, and vehicle test environments
- General knowledge of or experience developing/testing ADAS features and sensing systems using radars, cameras, lidars, ultrasonic sensors, or related vehicle systems
- Proven technical skills using Vector, CANalyzer, and CANape tools
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Master's degree and other listed preferred qualifications are preferred, not required
