About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support forward model and capacity studies for all milestones, including direct and indirect labor in Stamping, Body, Paint, and Final
- Lead new model labor optimization efforts through benchmarking, target setting, process-change tracking, and replication across programs
- Support cycle line layout planning and virtual build events with operator allocations and time studies
- Work with plants on physical build events and program launches
- Minimize or offset labor impacts through labor blitzes, plant projects, and design/process opportunities
- Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line-speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support
- Maintain and deliver IE documentation, including Labor Glidepath, Program 1-Pager, Labor by Department, Plant Line Speed, and APT Assessment
- Develop and document standardized methods and procedures
- Implement labor efficiency through global industrial engineering processes, tools, and standards
- Complete and evaluate plant time studies using MODAPTS
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, material handling, ergonomics, and plant personnel
- Support Assembly and Stamping in North America
- Travel domestically
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ years of Industrial Engineering or manufacturing operations experience
- Minimum of 6 months of co-op or internship experience may be considered toward the required experience
- Plant Industrial Engineering and manufacturing operations experience preferred
- Experience with MODAPTS preferred
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
