About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as global program owner for AI and automation transformation within Internal Control, setting strategy, priorities, and standards across all regions
- Champion AI and smart automation efficiencies in manual controls evaluation procedures
- Baseline and prioritize control workflows and build reimagined process maps identifying AI enablers
- Implement proactive, continuous control monitoring and expanded controls testing coverage through AI and automation
- Partner with regional Internal Control leads to prioritize pain points, reflect regulatory and cultural nuances, and drive adoption
- Direct prioritization of work with the India-based Data Science team and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Govern sandbox pilots and decide whether pilots scale, are redesigned, or sunset
- Lead global design and implementation of AI and automation solutions while ensuring compliance with S-Ox, GDPR, data privacy, and model risk management requirements
- Develop and annually refresh the global AI transformation roadmap
- Serve as subject matter expert on AI literacy and internal control use cases
- Apply AI tools to automate program-management workflows, including status reporting, meeting synthesis, risk flags, and task tracking
- Own intelligent dashboards tracking metrics, pilot status, and projected ROI
- Build business cases quantifying efficiency gains, risk reduction, and cost savings
- Develop change-management plans, training, and playbooks for global AI adoption
- Translate technical AI initiatives into concise executive communications
- Facilitate global forums with regional leads and the India Data Science team and track emerging AI/ML trends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Data Science, or Information Systems
- 7+ years of experience with internal controls, Internal Audit at a large public company, or Big 4 auditing
- Experience leading digital transformation or automation initiatives, ideally across a global organization
- Hands-on daily use of modern AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, prompt engineering, and workflow automation
- Ability to demonstrate personal productivity gains from AI tools
- Experience in process mapping, workflow baselining, and enterprise change management
- Experience with the COSO Internal Control Framework
- Experience with cross-cultural, geographically distributed, matrixed/dotted-line teams
- Exceptional executive communication skills and ability to distill technical concepts into actionable business strategy
- CPA, CIA, PMP, or AIGP certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with RPA platforms or data analytics tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, UiPath, and Alteryx is advantageous
- Experience directing offshore/global Data Science or IT teams is advantageous
- Experience conducting external benchmarking is advantageous
- Understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control best practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data pipelines, and AI experimentation toolchains is advantageous
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
