Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable end-to-end applications using Java/Spring Boot for the back end and Angular (v14+) for the front end
Utilize Python to develop automation scripts, data processing pipelines, or lightweight microservices
Architect and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices supporting Ford’s global digital ecosystem
Design optimized database schemas and manage data integrity across PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL environments
Lead adoption of AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor
Explore integration of LLMs or Machine Learning APIs to enhance product features
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma, or PyTest
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers in best practices, design patterns, and modern DevOps workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications
Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-driven development tools
Proven ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks, including Python
Experience using Python and AI to automate repetitive tasks and optimize developer experience
Ability to decompose complex business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with global cross-functional teams
Adaptable growth mindset and willingness to learn
Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot and Angular v14+
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and NoSQL environments
