About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the vendor lifecycle
  • Perform pre-contract due diligence, evaluating providers’ financial health, operational resilience, and cybersecurity posture
  • Work with Legal and Procurement to draft and monitor Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
  • Help ensure Right to Audit and Step-in Rights are documented as actionable tools
  • Support continuous monitoring by tracking and analyzing performance data and SOC reports
  • Identify signs of vendor distress or non-compliance before they escalate
  • Serve as a point of contact for third-party service disruptions or data breaches
  • Support incident response, timely remediation, and communication to Risk/Compliance and leadership
  • Work with internal business unit leaders to align third-party usage with business goals and risk requirements
  • Assist with operational queries during regulatory examinations and maintain audit readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Minimum 2 years specifically in Third-Party Risk Management, Vendor Management, or Operational Risk within a bank
  • Experience working with regulators
  • Strong working knowledge of banking regulations and guidance regarding third-party oversight and vendor management
  • Experience operating within a First Line of Defense capacity
  • Track record of performing oversight or audit functions
  • Ability to interpret complex data, financial statements, and SOC 1/SOC 2 reports
  • Ability to assess the viability and security of service providers
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a high-pressure, regulated environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
