About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead sourcing efforts for the Cockpit commodities
- Drive initiatives across sourcing strategy development, program sourcing activities, material cost reduction, risk and resilience management, supplier relationship management, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and resilient supply solutions
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships and manage positive relationships with the supply base
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Monitor the financial health of the supply base and develop back-up plans
- Serve as a key interface and trusted advisor to various internal skill teams
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments
- Develop category strategy plans and negotiate contracts
- Ensure appropriate sign-off on contracts and risk assessments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
- Direct or indirect leadership responsibilities over project teams, initiatives or direct reports preferred
- Strong business acumen, team building, collaboration, and communication skills – demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills - understanding of cost drivers and cost modeling
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
