About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sourcing efforts for the Cockpit commodities
  • Drive initiatives across sourcing strategy development, program sourcing activities, material cost reduction, risk and resilience management, supplier relationship management, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and resilient supply solutions
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships and manage positive relationships with the supply base
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks
  • Monitor the financial health of the supply base and develop back-up plans
  • Serve as a key interface and trusted advisor to various internal skill teams
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments
  • Develop category strategy plans and negotiate contracts
  • Ensure appropriate sign-off on contracts and risk assessments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
  • Direct or indirect leadership responsibilities over project teams, initiatives or direct reports preferred
  • Strong business acumen, team building, collaboration, and communication skills – demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills - understanding of cost drivers and cost modeling
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
