About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Consider joining Ford as a Technical Project Manager in our Ecommerce space. This role is responsible for being a key driver in orchestrating delivery of critical business values for small to large, internal, and cross-enterprise projects that directly impact customer experiences.
  • Projects may include improvements to core elements of our online shopping experiences including pricing, incentives, promotions, lease and financing options for shop and buy customer journey as well as special projects that involve various partners.
  • Leading via influence multi-functional teams from across the technical teams and product management teams, the incumbent will handle a small portfolio of projects, from Discovery through to Delivery.
  • In addition to showing entrepreneurial thought leadership, you will be required to use core project management, communication, presentation and creative problem-solving skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • You will serve as a key driver for our eCommerce platform, translating strategic roadmaps into executable plans and prioritized backlogs. You will provide strong agile leadership, cross-team coordination, and operational portfolio management, aligning business, technical, and security workstreams to deliver high-quality, customer-centric experiences.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Programming or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of experience managing eCommerce Cloud or On-Prem) or technical software delivery projects.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product/Project Manager, Product Owner, or SRE/Platform-focused role, with a strong understanding of modern delivery practices (CI/CD, trunk-based development, automated testing, observability, and infrastructure-as-code). This includes possessing exceptional facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical engineers and non-technical global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile/SAFe environments (ARTs, PIs, Epics, Features, and Stories).
  • 2+ years of experience with Jira (or similar) for backlog management, reporting, and administration, alongside experience with GitHub (or similar) for source control and release workflows.
