About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Design Competitions to optimize costs and ensure program profitability
- Lead milestone delivery within GPDS parameters on time with high quality at best cost
- Lead milestone assessments, communication documents and reporting up to Director levels
- Collect and enter Integrator assessments
- Lead TPMT (Transmission Product Management Team) for your commodity
- Lead and manage DCR (Design Change Request) to limit the DCR quantity and drive for the best cost on each
- Oversee commodity timing to align with program schedules
- Develop actionable work plans to address commodity issues, escalating as needed up thru director level
- Acting as the primary point of contact for eDrive Unit matters in Program PMT meetings
- Manage the commodity financials
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Systems Engineering, Finance
- Manage BOM/FEDE-BOM and support WERS release activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred), Business Administration (considered), or a related field
- 6+ years of Automotive experience, working cross functionally to develop products/vehicles
- Ability to motivate both internal teams and external partners to deliver products on time, with best cost, with high quality and meeting all function specs
- Strong communication skills, program control skills which can drive the deliverables hardly and effectively
- Motivated individual who can lead and manage products and industrialization team to success.
- Proven problem-solving skills to address commodity issues and effectively communicate solutions and status to upper management
- Knowledge of eDrive Unit, Trans or other PT components function
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, etc.).
