About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the on-time completion of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables to ensure robust supplier manufacturing readiness and timely part approvals.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and execute industrialization plans for new components, technologies, and manufacturing locations, ensuring capacity and capability requirements are fully met.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical and sourcing risk assessments for complex electronic components and new technologies, establishing proactive risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Lead the rapid containment and resolution of supplier quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (such as 8D, root-cause analysis, and permanent corrective actions).
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to align launch timelines, track part pedigree, and proactively resolve program risks.
  • Educate and guide supplier partners and internal stakeholders on quality standards, launch readiness processes, and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related technical field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, engineering, or product launch environments.
  • Strong expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) frameworks.
  • Proven experience utilizing industry-standard quality tools and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, Lean, or root-cause analysis).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes relevant to automotive electronics, safety systems, or braking components (such as Electric Brake Boosters).
  • Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively collaborate with global, cross-functional teams; willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed.
