About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead global core refrigerant fluid transport weekly technical design review (TDR) interface meeting with application teams and/or suppliers
  • Author engineering specification and foundation documents (DFMEA, DVP ESOW) for refrigerant hose and tubes
  • Capture lessons learned/PRA and develop updated test plans, requirement specifications
  • Hands on troubleshooting of components and related sub-system and vehicle issues
  • Lead weekly meetings with key supplier’s core engineering
  • Support resolution of manufacturing issues at suppliers and VOME plants
  • Manage all refrigerant fluid transport SREAs
  • Lead benchmarking activities for commodity
  • Support global program Durability (DURIS), AIMS, fresh eyes review, and quality issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • 5 years of experience with designing fluid transport systems by applying design rules and requirements for hoses, tubes, fittings, and ports
  • 5 years of experience leading Technical Design Reviews (TDR) and driving cross-functional alignment with application teams and suppliers
  • 5 years of experience directing technical interfaces with supplier engineering teams and Vehicle Operations Manufacturing Engineering (VOME) plants to resolve manufacturing issues
  • 5 years of experience orchestrating and executing comprehensive cost and competitiveness initiatives for refrigerant fluid transport commodities
  • 3 years of experience interpreting thermal and structural CAE results
  • 3 years of experience authoring or applying Core Engineering specifications for fluid transport and sensors
  • 2 years of experience authoring core engineering documents including DFMEA, DVP, ESOW, or Design Rules
