About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and oversee diverse investigations including criminal acts, fraud, embezzlement, theft, conflict of interest, and corporate espionage.
- Conduct investigations into violations of Company policy, HIPAA regulations, and the unauthorized leak of confidential or proprietary information.
- Respond to and resolve physical and verbal workplace threats to mitigate the risk of workplace violence.
- Perform interviews and secure written statements from individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with GAO (Special Investigations), OGC (Compliance), HR (People Matters), CIRT Forensics, and Regional Investigation Coordinators.
- Serve as the primary liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as third-party service providers.
- Process and action "Tip Call" information received from the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
- Access investigative databases to perform research and maintain strict control over evidence and proprietary documentation.
- Manage the BI process, including limited internal investigations and coordination with Ford Recruiting, Labor Relations, and external vendors.
- Assist with technical security surveys and the installation and maintenance of surveillance camera systems.
- Apply expert-level understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to corporate security.
- Deliver effective verbal and written communication to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the company.
- Utilize analytical skills to identify key issues and recommend optimal solutions for complex situations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of law enforcement and investigative experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Available to travel on short notice up to 10% of the time
- Maintain Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
- Annual MCOLE firearms qualification
- CPR/AED certification
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize case load with limited supervision
- Ability to organize data and write concise investigative reports
- Strong investigative interviewing skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply state and federal law and procedures
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet Company driving standards.
