About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and execute standardized monthly Lean training modules tailored to Ford employees across manufacturing sectors and various cross-functional skill teams.
  • Lead and facilitate intensive Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping workshops at both the plant and departmental levels to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of improvements identified during VSM sessions, ensuring sustained follow-through and measurable gains in operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a mentor and educator to a diverse workforce, effectively upskilling both hourly team members and salaried leadership in the practical application of Lean tools.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating significant growth in leadership roles and Lean practice.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science or a closely related technical field.
  • Proven mastery of Lean methodologies, with specific expertise in conducting Value Stream Mapping and facilitating high-impact Kaizen events.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and influence personnel at all levels of the organizational hierarchy.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 65% or more to various Ford locations to provide on-site training and workshop facilitation.
  • Exceptional instructional and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
