About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead sourcing strategy, commercial negotiations, and supplier management for critical engine components commodity
  • Develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies and lead commercial negotiations
  • Establish and strengthen global supplier relationships while aligning supplier technology roadmaps with Ford's business objectives
  • Lead program sourcing activities to support vehicle launches and achieve cost, quality, and timing targets
  • Drive Best Cost at Job 1 (J1) through sourcing, cost optimization, design competitions, and Total Value Management (TVM) initiatives
  • Provide market intelligence, cost analysis, and competitive benchmarking to support sourcing decisions
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Finance, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), and Manufacturing
  • Manage supplier performance, including cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation, while supporting the transition from ICE to BEV programs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive industry
  • 5+ years of experience leading supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing commodity or category sourcing strategies
  • Strong business acumen with excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of commodity cost drivers, sourcing processes, and purchasing systems
  • Experience collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel as required.
