About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- ETL Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy data mappings, tasks, and task flows using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
- Daily Monitoring: Proactively monitor daily batch and real-time ETL jobs, ensuring successful execution, optimal performance, and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Data Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense for production support. Investigate job failures, analyze data anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical data integration specifications.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize Informatica mappings, task flows, and underlying database queries to improve processing times and system efficiency.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear, detailed documentation for ETL processes, system configurations, mapping rules, and operational support playbooks.
- Data Quality: Implement data validation, data profiling, and error-handling routines to ensure the high quality and integrity of data moving through the pipelines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Core Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development and data integration, with proven, direct experience using Informatica IDMC (formerly IICS).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Experience working with modern relational databases and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Google BigQuery).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional data modeling, and cloud architecture.
- Operational Skills: Demonstrated experience in production support, job monitoring, and troubleshooting data pipelines in a day-to-day operational capacity.
- Familiarity with enterprise job scheduling tools and alerting mechanisms.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical data issues to non-technical stakeholders.
