About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create, maintain, and analyze Bills of Materials in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Develop and maintain comprehensive BOMs that detail components, materials, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of information within systems, performing verification of launch BOM accuracy.
Work closely with engineering, Purchasing, production, and supply chain teams to track changes and resolve discrepancies.
Manage engineering change orders and update BOMs accordingly.
Support engineering and inventory control by leading efforts to maintain and improve inventory accuracy.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through BOM data analysis.
Suggest enhancements to PLM/ERP systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, supply chain management or business administration is preferred.
Typically 2-5+ years of experience in BOM management, inventory management, or a related data field, particularly within the automotive industry.
Strong proficiency in PLM and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Windchill) is crucial.
Familiarity with data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, and Access is also beneficial.
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and complex data.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to interact effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
Experience with change management processes.
A proactive, results-driven mindset are highly valued.
