Key responsibilities & impact

Create and manage Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) from Engineering BOM (EBOM)
Develop Bill of Process (BOP) and structure manufacturing sequences
Build process trees, define operations, and assign workstations
Generate and maintain electronic work instructions for shop-floor use
Map tools, fixtures, and resources to manufacturing operations
Perform line balancing and cycle time analysis to improve throughput
Conduct time and motion studies to identify value-added vs non-value-added activities
Optimise plant layout and workflow using digital tools
Support plant-specific configuration of manufacturing processes
Update MBOM, process flows, and documentation based on engineering changes
Work closely with Product Development, IT teams, and plant operations
Support system testing (UAT) and digital tool enhancements
Maintain manufacturing data in enterprise systems
Define technical requirements for tooling, fixtures, and equipment
Support supplier interactions, technical reviews, and equipment buy-off
Use virtual manufacturing tools for layout validation and ergonomics
Support shop-floor installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up
Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial / Automotive Engineering
1–4 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes (assembly/powertrain)
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models (GD&T knowledge preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and cross-functional collaboration ability
Experience with Teamcenter / EasyPlan or similar digital manufacturing tools (preferred)
Exposure to EBOM–MBOM transformation and BOP creation (preferred)
Familiarity with time studies and line balancing (preferred)
Knowledge of PFMEA and control plans (preferred)
Exposure to electrified powertrain manufacturing (preferred)
Six Sigma certification (Green Belt/Black Belt) (preferred)
Experience in plant launch or equipment commissioning (preferred)
