About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leveraging a deep understanding of user experience principles and user needs to communicate cross-functionally, translating between UX design, business, technical, and project management domains and teams to ensure alignment of expectations and tasks.
  • Breaking down UX designs into Jira epic-task hierarchies, and prioritizing, allocating, and tracking those tasks to completion.
  • Identifying meaningful functional milestones and driving cross-functional alignment to those milestones.
  • Tracking and communicating project status and risks through cross-team alignment meetings, execution level status reports, and dashboards built in Jira and Confluence.
  • Ensuring that HMI development is aligned to the broader strategic program milestones.
  • Domestic Travel Required up to 10%.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Develop and deploy software for automotive HMI applications running on Linux OS, QNX, or Android Automotive OS, using HMI frameworks including QT, Android Automotive Platform, or similar UI application framework.
  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Program and manage automotive HMI software projects by coordinating UX design and engineering deliverables, ensuring timely execution and strategic alignment. 2. Design and manage UX to engineering lifecycle through the following phases: design freeze, artifact hand-offs, and implementation reviews. 3. Translate regulatory requirements for an automotive HMI into software requirements and functional definition. 4. Analyze and decompose HMI UX designs as inputs into software design and implementation feasibility. 5. Build, assign, and track task dependency hierarchies for HMI software projects using Jira.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Create executive level program reports using Jira and Confluence.
