About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Developing and documenting inverter manufacturing and assembly processes (i.e. laser welding, PCBA soldering, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain engineering specifications for the inverter assembly
  • Support tier 1 inverter assembler with adapting inverter assembly processes toward mass production
  • Contribute toward decision making of tier 1 inverter assembler production equipment selection
  • Prototyping manufacturing tools and fixtures to aid in the inverter assembly process
  • Support tier 1 inverter assembler with developing/creating manufacturing tools and fixtures for production
  • Conduct DOEs to prove out inverter manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Maintain and procure parts to develop prototype manufacturing tools/fixtures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field
  • Two (2) years of electrical module assembly experience
  • Understanding of electrical module DFM requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of developing engineering specifications for assembly processes
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of inverter manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of laser welding and selective soldering processes (preferred)
  • Project management and risk management skills (preferred)
