About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Developing and documenting inverter manufacturing and assembly processes (i.e. laser welding, PCBA soldering, etc.)
Develop and maintain engineering specifications for the inverter assembly
Support tier 1 inverter assembler with adapting inverter assembly processes toward mass production
Contribute toward decision making of tier 1 inverter assembler production equipment selection
Prototyping manufacturing tools and fixtures to aid in the inverter assembly process
Support tier 1 inverter assembler with developing/creating manufacturing tools and fixtures for production
Conduct DOEs to prove out inverter manufacturing and assembly processes
Maintain and procure parts to develop prototype manufacturing tools/fixtures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field
Two (2) years of electrical module assembly experience
Understanding of electrical module DFM requirements
In-depth knowledge of developing engineering specifications for assembly processes
Good written and communication skills.
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
Knowledge of inverter manufacturing processes (preferred)
Knowledge of laser welding and selective soldering processes (preferred)
Project management and risk management skills (preferred)
