About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Developing and documenting inverter manufacturing and assembly processes (i.e. laser welding, PCBA soldering, etc.)
- Develop and maintain engineering specifications for the inverter assembly
- Support tier 1 inverter assembler with adapting inverter assembly processes toward mass production
- Contribute toward decision making of tier 1 inverter assembler production equipment selection
- Prototyping manufacturing tools and fixtures to aid in the inverter assembly process
- Support tier 1 inverter assembler with developing/creating manufacturing tools and fixtures for production
- Conduct DOEs to prove out inverter manufacturing and assembly processes
- Maintain and procure parts to develop prototype manufacturing tools/fixtures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering or science field
- Two (2) years of electrical module assembly experience
- Understanding of electrical module DFM requirements
- In-depth knowledge of developing engineering specifications for assembly processes
- Good written and communication skills.
- Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of inverter manufacturing processes (preferred)
- Knowledge of laser welding and selective soldering processes (preferred)
- Project management and risk management skills (preferred)
