About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop innovative geometrical packaging solutions for all vehicle systems that optimize product attributes, simplify manufacturing processes, and enable key styling themes.
- Create sketches, 3D CAD data, and physical prototypes for vehicle integration concepts that improve product cost, mass, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience.
- Drive cross-functional product architecture decisions between vehicle systems through engineering fundamentals and attribute sensitivities.
- Identify and resolve geometrical incompatibilities between systems with concept 3D CAD.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and suppliers to procure and build physical properties.
- Domestic Travel Required 20%.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. 3D and 2D CAD design of automotive components and assemblies using Dassault 3DExperience or Catia V5. 2. Releasing automotive components and assemblies in Dassault 3DExperience or Enovia V5. 3. Solving cross functional vehicle integration problems for automotive products. 4. Documenting product architecture studies, attribute sensitivities, and architecture decisions in Atlassian, Confluence, and Jira.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Developing and delivering prototype parts for new automotive products. 2. Tracking, documenting, and resolving issues with Confluence or Jira.
