About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Innovate new Chassis control features and functions
  • Develop specifications and design verification plans for control systems and features
  • Perform systems engineering on Chassis Controls Features and Function including Failure Mode Avoidance
  • Work closely with Ford engineers and Tier-1 suppliers to develop feature interface requirements
  • Perform software functional validation (MIL/SIL testing) and work closely with HIL test engineers
  • Conduct Functional Safety analysis and implement actions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in control systems or software development experience
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of controls system and state machine development experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in Matlab/Simulink (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Vector CANAPE and CANalyzer (preferred)
  • Troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems (preferred)
  • Experience developing and executing test plans (preferred)
  • Experience applying engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ISO-26262 (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe tools and processes (preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAN communication and databases (preferred)
  • Experience developing software requirements (preferred)
  • Good communications and project management skills (preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer satisfaction (preferred)
  • Good teamwork skills (preferred).
