About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work collaboratively with members of the Ford Credit Legal Office to develop practical legal advice that demonstrates a strong understanding and application of the law to Ford Credit’s business.
  • Leverage your existing knowledge of Ford Credit operations to assist attorneys in developing legal advice for management that improves Company decision-making.
  • Support the core business of Ford Credit while also participating on cross-functional project teams.
  • Assist attorneys in ensuring all procedures, processes, systems, and documents comply with applicable law and corporate policies.
  • Assist attorneys with and perform legal research and analysis.
  • Support monitoring for compliance with laws, regulations, guidance issued by relevant regulatory bodies, and Company policy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree (to be completed by Dec. 2026) and Paralegal Certificate, if Bachelor’s degree is not in Paralegal Studies (to be completed by Dec. 2026)
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments
  • Experience with state vehicle finance laws and consumer finance regulations (Even better)
  • Ability to function effectively and collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams (Even better)
  • Ability to identify legal risk and approaches to mitigate risk from both a litigation and regulatory perspective (Even better)
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (Even better)
