About the role

  • Develop high-fidelity digital models (interior and exterior) that effectively communicate design intent in an fast-paced environment.
  • Assist in digital model builds, strategically selecting the most effective tools and techniques to ensure accurate execution within studio timing and constraints.
  • Apply a high level of technical aptitude and competency in surface development and various digital modeling techniques.
  • Using in Alias, Rhino, Blender, Gravity Sketch, Adobe Studio and standard office software like Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Collect, coordinate, collaborate, and translate technical data for multiple departments and personnel.
  • Interface effectively with all levels of the design team, fostering strong working relationships to achieve project goals.
  • Be willing to work as project demands require.

Requirements

  • 1+ years Design experience
  • Proficient in 3D digital modeling
  • Experience with Alias, Rhino, Blender, and Gravity Sketch
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Suite and standard office software like Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation or Industrial Design
  • 3+ years of design experience
  • Proven ability to deliver finished 3D digital designs to specification using software like Alias, Rhino, Blender, Gravity Sketch, AI and other modeling tools
  • Experience with digital setups, values, and procedures necessary for delivering surface data quickly and accurately
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation, including prints, engineering sections, hip zones, hard points, draft angles, part breakups, die lock conditions, verification points, etc.
  • High level of problem-solving ability, including the capacity to troubleshoot difficult situations and manage critical timing schedules effectively.
  • Adaptability to constant change, embracing unknown elements, willingness to pick up new skills, and adjusting goals.
