About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, implement, and develop management information (MI) to monitor credit risk, refining our suite of metric reports (risk appetite, KPIs, KRIs) across the consumer portfolio lifecycle.
  • Conduct standardized variance analyses to explain credit risk movements by causal factors (borrower behavior, macroeconomic indices) across individual FCE markets and on an FCE-wide basis.
  • Lead ad-hoc credit risk projects that support FCE’s strategic growth, risk-mitigation strategies, and digital transformation.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with 1LOD Operations, Finance, and external suppliers to enhance originations processes and credit scorecards.
  • Identify emerging credit risks through data analysis and external scanning, providing actionable mitigation recommendations and monitoring their success post-implementation.
  • Support the implementation of qualitative underwriting guidelines and the development/testing of both qualitative and quantitative credit scorecards.
  • Provide robust Second Line oversight and support for Credit Committee proposals and portfolio assurance activities.
  • Coach, guide, and support junior team members within the Risk function.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience establishing, monitoring, and developing underwriting guidelines and credit proposal quality assessments.
  • Experience designing credit risk policies and procedures that improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting and presenting credit risk assessments in Credit Committees.
  • Strong capability to assess the creditworthiness of retail consumer customers.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders with gravitas.
  • An analytical, data-driven mindset with a proven ability to solve complex business challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently with senior leaders, Board members, and global stakeholders.
