About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage key areas of upfront Body Construction feasibility process for vehicle programs.
  • Ensure all milestones are met on time within quality targets.
  • Drive product / process alignment on all requirements.
  • Drive labor efficiency, complexity reduction, and end item parts to the main line during new model planning and development.
  • Coordinate efforts to review program-based manufacturing issues, align on corrective actions, and cascade to affected areas.
  • Support coordination of Program Cost Study responses and work with cross functional teams to ensure aligned results.
  • Support resolution of major product and plant high hurts to help mitigate launch risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience with utilizing 3D CAD and CAD management software to assess product with tooling designs.
  • 2 years of experience with reviewing existing Autocad plant layouts and developing new layouts with manufacturing plant environment consistent with program requirements.
  • 1 year of experience with documenting new assembly process steps and sequence, generating operator instructions and modifying existing instructions.
  • 1 year of experience with updating Process Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) for new program product content.
  • 1 year of experience with generating station level studies for cycle time, robot reach, and gun accessibility for new product content using CAD simulation tools including at least one of the following: Teamcenter, Process Simulate, NX, Solidworks, Catia, FIDES, or Robcad.
