Crankshaft Manufacturing Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global powertrain programs (M4-M6 levels) through the GPDS cycle.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies, "What-if" vignettes, and deep-dive management reviews for both ICE and Electrification programs.
- Develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes using Failure Mode Avoidance tools.
- Deliver critical quality documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, SCCAF, and EPM.
- Manage the procurement, design, runoff, and delivery of new or re-tooled equipment.
- Ensure all machinery meets safety, ergonomic, and productivity standards.
- Drive investment efficiency by identifying opportunities for equipment reuse.
- Interface with Product Engineering to determine manufacturing feasibility and support Component Program Module Teams (CPMT).
- Lead the technical evaluation and selection of suppliers.
- Champion the Lessons Learned process and implement standardized engineered solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related).
- **Experience:** Professional experience in **crankshaft manufacturing engineering, specifically with powertrain systems** (ICE or Electrification) and new program launches (GPDS).
- **Technical Knowledge:** Proficiency in Failure Mode Avoidance tools (PFMEA, Control Plans) and a strong understanding of Bill of Process (BOP) and equipment procurement.
- **Project Management:** Proven ability to manage program budgets, timing plans, and technical supplier evaluations.
- **Language Skills:** Advanced **proficiency in English** (written and verbal) for global reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
- **Leadership:** Strong communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex engineering challenges.
