About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a key technical leader, responsible for driving the architectural vision, designing data-intensive applications, and leading the development of core SaaS platforms, API services, and frontends.
  • Architect, design, and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale, data-intensive SaaS applications.
  • Actively lead, mentor, and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Partner directly with Product, Design, and Business leadership to shape product strategy and translate complex business needs into scalable architectural designs.
  • Effectively scope, estimate, and provide architectural blueprints for massive, multi-quarter enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead the hands-on development of critical architectural components and complex projects.
  • Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for critical incidents, leading complex root cause analysis and driving proactive problem management initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a dedicated Senior, Staff, or Lead capacity overseeing complex, multi-team projects.
  • 8+ years of experience developing enterprise-grade API services using Java or Kotlin (Spring Boot preferred), with a proven track record of managing high-throughput, low-latency systems.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and optimizing relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases. You should have demonstrated experience managing high-volume data pipelines and large-scale datasets (petabyte-scale preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience architecting and deploying production workloads in cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure), utilizing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless patterns (Cloud Run)
  • 3+ years of experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred), ensuring seamless full-stack integration and performance optimization.
  • 10% domestic travel required
  • English proficiency (written and verbal).
