About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Buyers to achieve program-level cost, quality, and material-efficiency targets across the full program lifecycle.
  • Own the supplier relationship strategy for Tires, implementing a proactive engagement model to improve supplier performance, capture innovation, and mitigate commercial and operational risk.
  • Define and execute long-term commodity strategies for tires that align with corporate objectives, secure sustainable supply, and maintain market competitiveness – including sourcing plans for future programs.
  • Partner with cross functional strategic teams to assess supply base footprint, evaluate supplier financial health, track emerging technologies and market trends, and convert insights into actionable sourcing and risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-years leading a team and 8+ years of strategic buying or sourcing experience.
  • An energetic leadership style with a strong commitment to building and developing a high performing team.
  • A disciplined and process-oriented approach that establishes sustainable governance and routine rigor to drive measurable results.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically at the big picture level, applying strong organizational acumen and market awareness to identify, prioritize, and sustain focus on the organization’s key objectives.
  • Demonstrated expertise with purchasing systems, sourcing tools, and standard procurement procedures.
  • Advanced negotiation capabilities with a proven track record of creating leverage in both offensive and defensive scenarios.
  • Excellent persuasive written and verbal communication skills and be adept at producing proposals, reports, and plans that secure business leader commitment.
