About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure and manage the communication stack for powertrain control modules using DaVinci.
  • Configure AUTOSAR BSW components to ensure safety, security, stability, reliability, and performance within the powertrain domain.
  • Master debugging and problem-solving using Lauterbach to troubleshoot low-level processor resets and software issues.
  • Develop and update section maps for Infineon TC38xx and TC39xx microcontrollers to optimize linking and building of applications.
  • Contribute to architecting the platform and strategically distributing runnables across different cores within powertrain microcontroller modules.
  • Develop C-code-based high-level drivers to interface with supplier-provided low-level drivers.
  • Maintain an understanding of Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) platform systems and how powertrain control modules integrate into vehicle platform requirements.
  • Possess a strong understanding of bootloaders and boot software, including those based on Vector packages.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Hardware Security Module (HSM) software and cryptographic interfaces.
  • Apply a deep understanding of C programming, pre-processors, compilers, makefiles, software build processes, and Continuous Integration (CI) automation to diagnose build issues.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot vehicle/powertrain behavior, determine root causes, validate corrective actions, and develop preventative measures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development, specifically in powertrain control systems.
  • Expertise in using DaVinci for communication stack and AUTOSAR BSW configuration.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools such as Lauterbach.
  • Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic BSW configuration or BSW/Complex Device Driver (CDD) development (2+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of Infineon TC38xx and TC39xx microcontroller architectures and memory management.
  • Experience with multi-core microcontroller architectures and CPU load balancing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-level drivers in C.
  • Familiarity with automotive bootloader concepts and their interaction with application software.
  • Solid understanding of Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and cryptographic principles, including CAN message authentication (CMAC), and how applications interface with them.
  • In-depth knowledge of C programming, pre-processing, compilers, linking, makefiles, and software build systems, including CI automation (2+ years).
  • Awareness of Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) concepts and their impact on embedded powertrain systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working cross-functionally.
