About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for critical spend areas across the UEV platform and follow-on advanced EV programs from sourcing strategy development through SOP, including supplier selection, contracting, and ongoing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Partner with engineering from concept through launch to align sourcing strategy with technical roadmaps, design freeze milestones, and prototype-to-production transitions.
- Build first-principles should-cost models with cross-functional teams to drive a ground-up, physics-based part and system cost perspective.
- Lead make-vs-buy analysis to ensure we have a best-in-class supply chain that delivers optimal value.
- Develop the supply base for resilience.
- Drive automation across the supply chain to deliver best-in-class supply chain efficiency.
- Shape the tools and processes the ADVEV supply chain runs on.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management.
- Experience bringing creative negotiation skills and out-of-the-box strategy.
- Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or MBA (preferred).
- Hands-on experience building and launching highly effective supply chains (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred).
- An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team (preferred).
- A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement (preferred).
