About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Test Strategy & Execution: Lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle for SAP S/4 HANA MM/PP modules, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.
- Regression Impact Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Regression Testing Strategy to safeguard existing site functionality during multi-wave rollouts. Perform Change Impact Analysis to identify how new configurations or customizations affect the global template.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, functional IT teams, and System Integrators to translate complex requirements into executable test plans (Functional Specs, Technical Specs, and BPDs).
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a global testing team, ensuring high-quality execution of test cases and efficient defect resolution.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate technical and operational risks associated with SAP deployments.
- Automation Leadership: Drive the transition from manual to automated testing. Provide knowledge transfer to automation resources and oversee the development of modular, reusable test scripts using TOSCA.
- Data & Interface Integrity: Oversee data integration testing for complex inbound/outbound interfaces, ensuring seamless communication between SAP and legacy systems.
- Reporting: Deliver transparent, data-driven reports on testing progress, defect density, and regression health to project leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field
- Experience: 10+ years in hands-on technical roles engaged in testing, implementing, and supporting SAP applications.
- Module Expertise: 7+ years of dedicated testing experience in SAP MM or SAP PP; 5+ years of experience specifically within SAP S/4 HANA environments.
- Regression Expertise: Proven experience in managing Regression Suites for large-scale, multi-site global templates. Ability to use impact analysis tools to prioritize testing efforts.
- Business Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of SAP MRP business processes and the ability to design complex test scenarios that reflect real-world manufacturing conditions.
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced experience with TOSCA (Tricentis) or MF UFT for test automation. Familiarity with Alteryx or other data validation tools is highly preferred.
- Agile Delivery: Strong command of Agile methodologies and proficiency with management tools like Jira and Rally.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams across different time zones in a high-pressure global environment.
- Problem Solving: A high degree of analytical thinking to troubleshoot complex technical errors and optimize automation scripts for long-term sustainability.
