About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operational Partnership & Cost Oversight: Serve as a strategic partner to operational skill teams, providing deep-dive analysis and oversight of operating costs to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Process Optimization: Lead the evolution of reporting frameworks for actuals and forecasting; identify and implement "lean" methodologies to streamline data collection and reporting for all skill teams.
  • Global Cost Allocation Transformation: Conduct a comprehensive review of Ford Credit’s cost allocation process with global regions and entities. Your goal will be to redesign and simplify the annual allocation study to reduce manual effort and improve transparency.
  • Strategic Communication: Lead the consolidation and synthesis of the Operating Cost PowerPoint presentations for the annual Business Plan, ensuring a clear and accurate narrative for senior leadership
  • Pricing Model Integration: Evaluate the current methodology for including operating costs in Ford Credit pricing models. Determine and implement more accurate or efficient ways to reflect these costs to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Digital Innovation (Ford AI): Act as the team’s champion for Ford AI tools. Explore, test, and implement AI-driven solutions to automate routine tasks, improve forecasting accuracy, and unlock new insights for the Operating Cost team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with regional finance leads and entity stakeholders to ensure consistency in global cost-sharing and reporting standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, or Qlik) and an interest in or experience with AI/Machine Learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence partners across different regions; excellent storytelling skills for executive-level presentations.
