About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

This role combines technical expertise in tool & die design as well as high pressure die casting processes with strong project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, budget, suppliers, and ensure tooling meets quality, cost, and performance targets.
The engineer oversees tool design reviews, development, validation, and continuous improvement efforts in fast pace and large scale powertrain and structural programs.
Expertise in designing and developing new dies for high-pressure die casting from concept to launch.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors in engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum 8 of years of experience in die casting.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as Tooling engineer or similar.
Tool & Die manufacturing with global standards knowledge
Practical experience in die trouble shooting and improvements
Project management capabilities
Candidates should be willing to travel upto 70% of the time.
Strong analytical and computer Skills
Leadership, problem solving, proactive mindset, high sense of urgency
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in AutoCAD software, SolidWorks, CATIA or similar
Experience in large structural casting process knowledge will be beneficial
Knowledge in die heat treatment, metallurgy and coating processes
Familiarity with six sigma analysis
