About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Optimize Supply Chain Tools: Utilize Ascent and Pega to identify supply risks and drive operational efficiencies that expand the horizon for risk evaluation.
- Protect Production Stability: Proactively manage daily and weekly schedules to ensure existing operating plans are met without the need for remixes or production losses.
- Drive Cost Mitigation: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce premium freight costs by optimizing processes and collaborating with the MP&L Logistics organization.
- Communicate & Escalate Risk: Provide leadership with clear visibility into supply constraints, offering data-driven solutions and defined paths for escalation.
- Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Purchasing, Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Supplier Operations (SOT), Product Development, and plant teams to resolve complex fulfillment issues.
- Manage Supplier Accountability: Oversee critical suppliers to ensure full compliance with Ford’s global terms, expectations, and performance standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years of experience in operations and data analytics.
- Technical proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- A proven track record in manufacturing or supply chain operations, including inbound/outbound flows, packaging, and warehouse management.
- Demonstrated experience in SAP, Alteryx, or similar data analysis tools.
- Deep knowledge of Ford production planning and execution, with specific proficiency in MP&L systems such as CMMS, Super G, GCP, and MCPV.
- Advanced data analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources, identify root causes/trends, and recommend operational improvements for supplier delivery performance.
- Strong data storytelling capabilities, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that enable data-driven decision-making.
- A proactive "bias for action," focused on identifying and resolving supply risks within the "clear to build" horizon to ensure operational stability.
- Demonstrated experience managing diverse supply chain functions, including demand and supply planning and in-plant logistics operations.
