About the role
- Responsible for leading the digital manufacturing strategy and optimizing the software ecosystem used to deliver programs and manage change at the plant.
- Acting as the bridge between engineering requirements and software development, oversee the full product lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution alignment to development prioritization.
Requirements
- Develop manufacturing engineering problem statements, users stories, and process flows by interfacing with Ford’s global business units
- Capture user issues and work with IT teams to resolve
- Bring global teams together to align common training material, best practices, creation of knowledge bases
- Work with IT and other teams to conduct User acceptance testing
- Have an opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skillset in many other areas of manufacturing engineering by working in a team that has significant experience in both manufacturing engineering and technology
- Prepare management presentations for alignment on people, process, technology
- Interface with a diverse group of global regions and cultures
- Operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
- Work with minimal direct supervision
Benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (pref Mechanical)
- Skilled in Siemens Teamcenter(preferably AWC), NX, Simulations, Easy Plan
- 3 years experience in following areas related to Manufacturing Engineering:
- BOM Management, Change Management, Configuration Management
- Bill of Process, Process Sheets, Time Studies
- Experience with PLM tools (e.g., TeamCenter).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT and process writing.
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel (infrequent but may be required)
