About the role

  • Responsible for leading the digital manufacturing strategy and optimizing the software ecosystem used to deliver programs and manage change at the plant.
  • Acting as the bridge between engineering requirements and software development, oversee the full product lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution alignment to development prioritization.

Requirements

  • Develop manufacturing engineering problem statements, users stories, and process flows by interfacing with Ford’s global business units
  • Capture user issues and work with IT teams to resolve
  • Bring global teams together to align common training material, best practices, creation of knowledge bases
  • Work with IT and other teams to conduct User acceptance testing
  • Have an opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skillset in many other areas of manufacturing engineering by working in a team that has significant experience in both manufacturing engineering and technology
  • Prepare management presentations for alignment on people, process, technology
  • Interface with a diverse group of global regions and cultures
  • Operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
  • Work with minimal direct supervision
Benefits
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (pref Mechanical)
  • Skilled in Siemens Teamcenter(preferably AWC), NX, Simulations, Easy Plan
  • 3 years experience in following areas related to Manufacturing Engineering:
  • BOM Management, Change Management, Configuration Management
  • Bill of Process, Process Sheets, Time Studies
  • Experience with PLM tools (e.g., TeamCenter).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: FEDE, WERS, GSPAS/APT and process writing.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel (infrequent but may be required)
