About the role
- This position is within the Ford Racing organization and will closely interface with the ICE Propulsion and Thermal Systems Engineering (IPTSE) organization.
- It is initially for a component design and release engineer on the 5.2L engine program and may expand to other major powertrain castings for other programs.
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field
- 3+ years Design and Release Experience
- 3+ years of experience in CAD (CATIA, NX, CREO, or similar)
- Technical expertise with Gasoline Internal Combustion Engines (ICE)
- Experience with base engine dynamometer testing
- Experience with CAE Simulation Methodologies (1D, 3D, FEA, CFD)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Strong Leadership ability
- Working level CAD experience
- Support travel, both domestic and international, as required
- Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field preferred
- Black Belt Certification preferred
