About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • This position is within the Ford Racing organization and will closely interface with the ICE Propulsion and Thermal Systems Engineering (IPTSE) organization.
  • It is initially for a component design and release engineer on the 5.2L engine program and may expand to other major powertrain castings for other programs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field
  • 3+ years Design and Release Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in CAD (CATIA, NX, CREO, or similar)
  • Technical expertise with Gasoline Internal Combustion Engines (ICE)
  • Experience with base engine dynamometer testing
  • Experience with CAE Simulation Methodologies (1D, 3D, FEA, CFD)
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong Leadership ability
  • Working level CAD experience
  • Support travel, both domestic and international, as required
  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or related field preferred
  • Black Belt Certification preferred
