About the role

  • Program Leadership: Own end-to-end execution of DCDC hardware module programs, from design and validation through production release and launch.
  • Technical Oversight: Work closely with suppliers and Ford Systems team to ensure robust design and integration of DCDC power electronics, Ultra Capacitors, and Li-Ion energy storage modules. Lead technical design reviews and have in depth knowledge of power electronics HW modules designs.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive alignment between hardware design, software, system integration, validation, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure delivery of targets at program timing milestones.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project schedules, manage critical paths, and lead risk mitigation to ensure quality and timing targets are met per Ford Global Product Development System.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Lead team of 4 sourcing of 1st tier supplier. Interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure program deliverables (specifications, prototypes, testing, and documentation) are achieved by plan.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, track, and resolve engineering and program risks through structured problem-solving.
  • Launch Support: Ensure readiness for production launch, including validation sign-offs, DFMEA/PFMEA completion, and quality documentation.
  • Reporting: Provide regular program status updates to leadership, including design maturity, testing progress, open issues, and risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience in power electronics systems and components, DCDC converters, ultracapacitors, or Li-Ion battery interface modules.
  • Strong technical understanding of DCDC converter topologies, energy modules, and automotive power electronics development processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering program or project management for hardware or power electronics modules (DCDC converters, ECUs, or similar).
  • Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams through complex hardware development cycles.
  • Experience with automotive product development lifecycle (from concept through SOP).
  • Familiarity with DFMEA, validation testing, APQP, and PPAP processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) or electrical safety standards.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
