About the role
- Implement Requirements Management tools including FEDE Workbench (current) and enterprise-wide strategic new tools (future)
- Lead development, testing, and deployment of Requirements authoring, Design Verification, and Non-Conformance functionality within the Ford Engineering Design Environment (FEDE) including Core traceability, Program application / Signoff, and Issues / Deviation management capabilities.
- Support the future state development of enterprise-wide solutions and integrations with IT’s Industrial Systems Data Platform (IS DP)
- Seamlessly work with the IT matched-pair product teams to specify needed tool functionalities, elaborate & prioritize the backlog, and work within the Agile framework for deliveries
- Partner with Global Standards, PD Quality, & Product Signoff teams to develop digital tool solutions for administration, execution, and measurement of Requirements processes
- Support Product Development teams to deploy/implement Requirement/DVP/Deviation system functionalities for immediate application in Core and in-flight program contexts.
- Coordinate efforts between Hardware, Software, Quality, and Manufacturing to provide robust and consistent tools
- Develop tool training documentation and other learning materials in support of deployment to Product Development functional teams. Lead training where required.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering required
- 3+ years of experience with Requirements, DV, & Deviation processes & tools
- 2+ years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM / Active Workspace, Dassault 3DX, and/or other Requirements-capable tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work within cross functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools
- MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable Engineering discipline (preferred)
- Experience with Ford Automotive Procedures for Requirement authoring, Design Verification, Engineering Signoff, and Non-Conformance (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge Systems Engineering principles, processes, and artifacts (preferred)
- Experience with INCOSE, EARS, and other industry-standard requirement syntax best practices (preferred)
- Working experience with Agile & SAFe methodologies and IT backlog maintenance (preferred)
- Global working experience with partners in Europe, China, South America, and/or Australia (preferred)
