About the role

  • Calibration and development of leading edge aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirements
  • Evaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, NVH) on vehicles and engine dynamometer test cells
  • Modify powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics
  • Design and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnostics
  • Conduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration
  • 1+ years’ experience with one more of the following software tools: ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (even better)
  • 5+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration (even better)
  • Strong understanding and experience with Accurate Technologies, Inc. (ATI), or similar, testing and data acquisition tools and software (even better)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills (even better)
  • Ability to multi-task (even better)
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills (even better)
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills (even better).
