About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with industry groups, forums, and leading practices in risk frameworks, governance, and reporting
- Identify and prioritize Ford's top enterprise risks
- Ensure risk owners develop clear, actionable mitigation plans
- Partner with risk owners and senior leaders to build and strengthen risk mitigation plans
- Translate domain expertise into practical, cross-functional solutions
- Prepare and deliver risk reporting and insights for executive leadership and the Board of Directors
- Help embed a culture of risk mitigation across the enterprise through coaching, training, and influence
- Mature Enterprise Risk Management and build risk treatment capabilities across the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience establishing regular and collaborative engagement across the organization
- Experience in conflict resolution and in roles where differing points of view are common, including between yourself and more senior members of the organization
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Risk management experience in a complex institution and/or highly matrixed environment (preferred)
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Concentration in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Professional Risk Management certifications (preferred)
- Experience utilizing a GRC tool for ERM (preferred)
