About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set Supply Chain Category Management and Execution vision and strategy in alignment with the Ford+ plan
  • Create and implement strategic plans and objectives to lower costs, maintain a successful supplier base, and ensure materials needed for Ford’s production goals
  • Craft and execute sourcing strategies including resiliency, quality, cost and delivery objectives
  • Lead a team of managers and individual contributors
  • Develop and implement comprehensive global commodity strategies aligned with company business goals
  • Maintain Sourcing and Material Costing roadmap, value map and opportunity funnel
  • Manage sourcing with focus on supplier management and contract manufacturing operations
  • Assess supply chain operational gaps using data and expertise and create strategies to address them
  • Develop resiliency strategies to drive Supply Chain transformation
  • Drive continuous improvement, agility and innovative change
  • Report to the Director, Seating + Safety
  • Travel approximately 20%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain or similar
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Supply Chain or similar discipline
  • 10+ years leadership experience
  • Functional supply chain management experience gained through previous leadership in one or more areas of the function
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations and excellent knowledge of contractual terms and conditions
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data to inform areas of opportunity
  • Ability to influence change across all layers of an organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present confidently at an executive level
  • Skilled at navigating a large, matrixed environment
  • Ability to break down complex issues and implement new and innovative strategies
  • Exhibit the Ford OS behaviors of Excellence, Focus and Collaboration and a high level of resilience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
