About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, contain and resolve ongoing quality issues after product launch
  • Work closely with propulsion design teams, calibration, manufacturing, plant vehicle teams and core quality
  • Contain and resolve low time in service quality issues
  • Prioritize ongoing and emerging issues using leading and lagging indicator data and analysis
  • Manage weekly warranty claims for 0–3 months-in-service engine system components
  • Triage top issues with the propulsion team
  • Define and investigate issues using trends based on vehicle line, time in service, operating conditions, locations and other critical factors
  • Participate in or lead cross-functional root cause, corrective action and prevention of recurrence activities
  • Conduct preventive recurrence action read-across to other programs and implement actions as appropriate
  • Support plant containment actions, including quality holds and stop ships
  • Lead emerging and ongoing issue discussions in propulsion, fuel and thermal system quality meetings
  • Attend manufacturing and product quality meetings
  • Work with service to reduce cost per repair

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 1+ years of experience in Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with solid understanding of problem-solving methodologies
  • Excellent leadership and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficient in English
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
