About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own all elements of software development with end-to-end accountability
  • Select architecture direction with input from the architect/Super Anchor
  • Actively manage the software product’s long-term delivery roadmap
  • Guide and coach other software engineers on product teams
  • Develop software, often through pair programming, to deliver user stories
  • Develop automated tests to confirm functionality, acceptance, and detect regression defects
  • Review continuous integration build status and fix build failures
  • Optimize CI/CD tooling by automating manual delivery-pipeline processes and improving quality gates
  • Review production operations and troubleshoot production issues
  • Participate in a rotational 24x7 on-call support schedule for Critical/High incidents
  • Implement application performance monitoring and failure notifications
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify software deficiencies
  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies
  • Screen candidates for placement onto product teams
  • Organize team learning events and foster skill progression
  • Design, modernize, build, secure, and maintain access management, authorization, and policy-based access control platforms
  • Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of access services
  • Share operational ownership, perform tech refreshes, and improve product stability and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field OR a combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Deep expertise in Core Java (Java 11 or higher) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data)
  • Hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies such as Angular and React
  • Proven experience building highly secure microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed enterprise platforms
  • Solid experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL
  • Experience with NoSQL/caching databases such as MongoDB or Redis
  • Experience with build automation using Gradle
  • Experience with automated deployment pipelines such as Jenkins or Tekton
  • Experience with source code repositories such as Git or Accurev
  • Working experience with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Daily proficiency with IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ
  • Daily proficiency with agile planning tools such as CA Agile Central/Rally or Jira
  • Daily proficiency with ServiceNow for incident, change, and ticket management
  • Solid understanding of federation and authentication protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Strong knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), and Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC)
  • Experience integrating with LDAP, Active Directory, or Azure AD / Entra ID
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
